Through my design for my first sustainable fashion label, Methodology, I hope to achieve sustainability, not only from the materials but also by extending the lifetime of the products. I want the wearer to wear the product more and get the most out of the materials, which explains the transformable functions of the products – there are no designated occasions or styles to suit the products. Think of my products as the Rubik’s Cube, where solutions are aplenty, and every user has his/her own methodology.
The accessories in this collection are named after herbs, which I like to think as things that have extraordinary functions that belie their ordinary looks. For this accessory collection, I have upcycled materials from high-end factory, such as leather trim-offs. The way I went about designing the accessories was by breaking them up in geometrical shapes, and reconstructing them back together to materialise my creations.
Constructed by 38 uncycled leather circles, with every circle and hole done by hand. A good piece to enhance your casual outfits.
Sister of Yarrow, this piece shows her vivacity by stringing 34 upcycled leather circles irregularly on the gold-plated chain. Goes well with vest and mid-length-sleeves top.
A mix of leather and feather, as well as a mix of elegance and chic, this piece can easily be teamed up with day wear and work wear. Goes well with shirt or round-neck top.
The feather and gold-colour studs give a wild attitude to Dill to make it a bit different to other cuffs. Goes well with vest and mid-length-sleeves top.
Unexpected effects happen when two ginkgos become one. From collar to shoulder accessory, from decent day look to edgy night-out style, Ginkgo is easily a versatile fashion accessory.
No-sew epaulette constructed with mixed texture materials, studs, upcycled wool and leather. Perfect statement accessory to turn your ordinary day outfit into stunning evening look. Pair it with a simple jumper, T-shirt or vest.
The flexibility of Neroli, with an unusual scale bow, allows you to wrap it on anywhere you want with its wire interior.
